I accidentally spilled water on my notebook. What should I do?Updated 13 days ago

Don't panic. Here's what to do right now.

Gently blot the wet area with a dry cloth, then leave it somewhere with good airflow to dry naturally. No hair dryers, no direct sunlight. Just patience.

Once it's fully dry, your notebook is still usable. The cover may show a light mark or sit slightly different than before. That is just the nature of book cloth. It is a beautiful material, but it does not love water.

If the damage is bothering you, we do offer cover replacements. And if it is not too bad, we would gently say: keep going. That mark is now part of your notebook's story. Some of our favourite notebooks look like they have truly been lived in.

For next time, a transparent sleeve will sort it.
